Plus, as if it wasn’t bad missing THREE days of polo, frankenbike, the Cemetery Cats bike wash, and other stuff I can’t recall, I will also be missing another night of polo:
AND the first cyclocross race of the Dirt Derby season:
Elliot from Austin on Two Wheels did an awesome write-up on the basics of the cyclocross madness and details regarding the Dirty Derby set-up which you should read if you haven’t already.
Having not yet had my ‘cross legs and being a bit of a chicken last year I never made my way out there to race but this year I’m going to make sure that I not only race each Tuesday but that I’m the sorest of losers each time. It’s a lofty goal, and I’m already messing it up by not being able to go out there tonight, but after this week it’ll be go time.
There is no better bike event to spectate at, get drunk at, yell things at, and ring your cowbell at so even if you aren’t thinking of doing any of the races at least come out and make some noise.
