The bi-weekly polo update.
Posted by D on April 6th, 2009 filed in Bike PoloBelieve it or not I try to limit myself when it comes to posting polo pictures but as I’m sure you’ve noticed it’s not easy for me to resist the urge. Having this bum finger and not being able to play makes this dilemma even harder because instead of just snapping a couple pictures inbetween games I now have the ability to spend the the whole time behind the camera, leaving me with an embarassingly large amount of photos at the end of the day. I think I walked away from the park yesterday with about 230 photos; Most are junk but the good ones are great, not posting them would be a disservice to my fellow polo addicts.
In addition to my half-assed apology about posting so many polo pics I also wanted to highlight the write-up that Marcus from Austin on Two Wheels just posted on his site after coming to watch bike polo for the first time. For some reason everyone was a little slow to the get go yesterday but after about an hour or so of waiting all the usual suspects showed up and Marcus was able to get a good taste of the game that we’ve all slowly become addicted to. He also did a good write-up of the rules and structure of the game, something I’ve always been too lazy to do. Good stuff.

Great shots Daniel! Some of the best yet, especially of Andy’s ways of taking people out of the play. Ha! Man I love Thomas’ enthusiasm. He seems to be learning Andy’s dirty dealings well.

I only wish I could make it out on Thursdays, but unfortunately that’s kickball night. I’m still tweaking my polo bike and right now its in pieces. If I get it up and running… you guys (and jesus too) better watch out. I already know you bunch of atheists/ agnostic/whatever-ists will be playing on sunday.
